Donna brings a depth of diversified experience to her law practice, utilizing her prior work experience in banks and for large corporations to assist her clients in realizing their business and financial goals.

Donna’s practice focuses on business organizations and banking and finance law.

Banking + Finance Law

Donna represents clients in a broad range of banking and financial matters. She assists clients with loans, mortgages, workouts, debt restructuring, private equity, transaction due diligence, and compliance matters. Donna also has considerable experience with commodities hedging instruments, including the use of derivatives and ISDA contracts. She provides her clients with valuable insight into their financial needs and communicates with their trusted advisors, including financial planners.

Business Organizations

Donna represents large and small for-profit and non-profit organizations on a variety of matters. She assists her clients with choice of entity selection, organization, corporate governance, business transactions, financing, private offerings of securities, mergers and acquisitions, and business contracting needs.

Relevant Work Experience

Prior to attending law school, Donna served as a Senior Vice President and Controller of a bank and bank holding company. After law school, she worked as in-house counsel for several corporations and as CFO and general counsel for a bank and bank holding company. Donna’s former experience gives her a unique perspective in counseling both lenders and borrowers.

Out + About

When she is not practicing law, Donna likes spending time with family, hiking, skiing, and playing tennis with her friends. She is a proud Kansas Jayhawk and NCAA basketball fan. Donna also gives back to her community by sitting on non-profit boards and religious committees.
