Overview
Civil Litigation + Appeals
Andrew represents individuals and businesses in state and federal court litigation, appeals, as well as arbitration. These disputes concern, for example, bad-faith breach of insurance contract, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, commercial leases, construction, deceptive trade practices, easements, employment agreements, fraud, insurance coverage, negligence, noncompetition or nonsolicitation agreements, mechanic’s liens, misappropriation of trade secrets, trusts and estates, and wrongful termination. Before joining BHGR, Andrew served as a law clerk and judicial assistant to Chief Justice Brian D. Boatright of the Colorado Supreme Court.
Public Entity Law
Andrew represents cities, counties, home rule municipalities, towns, special districts, and their employees in state and federal court litigation as well as appeals. These disputes concern, for example, affordable housing, elections, the First Amendment, land use, recalls, term limits, and zoning.

J.D., University of Colorado Law School, Order of the Coif
In law school, Andrew served as Articles Editor for the University of Colorado Law Review and a member of the national moot court team. He won the Austin W. Scott Jr. Award (Best Oralist) at the annual Rothgerber Moot Court Competition as well as received other moot court and mock trial awards. He interned with United States Magistrate Judge Kristen L. Mix of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado.
B.A., Hamilton College, cum laude
In college, Andrew served as student body president and co-captain of the mock trial team. He interned with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia in the Family Services Division.

Pro Bono
Andrew has provided pro bono legal services to Marshall Fire victims and Afghan refugees. He volunteers as a judge for high school and college mock trial competitions.
Out + About
Andrew is an Eagle Scout who grew up in San Francisco, Munich, Chicago, and Zurich. He prefers to bike to work. When not in the office, Andrew enjoys hiking, skiing, and public transit policy. He serves as a member of the Rules Committee of the Colorado Democratic Party and the Rules Committee of the Democratic Party of Denver. He previously served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party of Denver (as a Captain of House District 6 and Chair of the Rules Committee).
