Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP (BHGR) is a full-service law firm with offices in Boulder and Denver, Colorado, and Irvine and San Diego, California. With nearly sixty attorneys and more than thirty staff members, we bring the depth and sophistication of a large national firm, delivered with the individualized attention and efficiency of a trusted local partner.
We represent individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses of every size, public entities, and government officials across a wide array of practice areas, including civil litigation, construction law, corporate law, criminal law, employment law, intellectual property law, insurance law, public entity law, trusts, estates, probate and tax law, real estate law, and water law.
At BHGR, every client works with a carefully curated team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff united by a single goal: exceptional results at an exceptional value. We reject a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we take the time to understand each client’s unique objectives so we can provide legal counsel tailored to their specific needs.
We are trusted advisors, powerful advocates, and strategic partners — and we have been since day one.
Our Story
BHGR was founded in November 2001, when George Berg, David Hill, Rick Greenleaf, and Giovanni Ruscitti set out to build something different. Working from a small office in downtown Boulder, Colorado, they shared a clear vision: deliver the kind of sophisticated legal counsel typically found only at the largest national and international firms, but in a way that was more efficient, more cost-effective, and far more personal.
From the beginning, relationships were at the heart of everything. The founders built a culture in which clients felt genuinely known and valued, a relaxed but professional environment where people came first, and legal strategy followed. That all-hands-on-deck approach, ingrained from the firm’s earliest days, remains one of BHGR’s defining characteristics.
The firm opened it’s with the four founding partners, an associate, a paralegal, and a legal assistant. As clients’ needs evolved, so did BHGR. What began as a boutique practice focused on construction, real estate, and water law grew steadily, adding criminal law, public entity, and estate planning attorneys, then corporate and intellectual property lawyers, always in direct response to the needs of the people and businesses BHGR serves.
Today, BHGR has grown into a full-service firm with offices across Colorado, Wyoming, and California, nearly sixty attorneys, and a national reputation for high-quality legal services at competitive rates. Through every stage of growth, the firm has remained committed to its founders’ original vision: a firm where clients are partners, relationships are lasting, and exceptional legal work is always the standard.
